Van (she/her) is a second-year M.A. student in the Applied Developmental Psychology program under the mentorship of Dr. Olga Kornienko. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Education at Virginia Commonwealth University in 2023. Van has previously worked and completed her ADP practicum at the National Asian American Pacific Islander Mental Health Association, where she supported development and implementation of mental health youth programs. Her previous work experiences have strengthened her commitment to understanding how familial and social networks influence diverse adolescents’ mental health, particularly the impacts of generational trauma and resilience on children of immigrants.
